Pattaya's beach club scene is younger than its nightclub circuit by about a decade — the first proper sunset-DJ venue didn't open until 2014 — but it has matured fast. The model is borrowed wholesale from Ibiza: white architecture, infinity pool tipping toward the water, day beds you can pre-book, a sunset DJ slot from around 5pm, and a kitchen serving food good enough that the venue holds you from lunch through last call. What's different in Pattaya is the price ceiling. Even the high end of the scene runs at a fraction of European costs, and the budget tier delivers a recognisable beach-club experience for well under ฿2,000 a head.
All four of the venues we cover sit south of central Pattaya, along three distinct zones. Na Jomtien, about 25 minutes south by taxi, is home to Cafe del Mar Pattaya — the licensed Thai extension of the Ibiza institution and the most upscale entry on the list. Jomtien Beach, closer to the city, has the more accessible duo of Oasis Beach Club and Glow Beach Club, both with day beds under ฿1,500 and proper sunset programming. And Pratumnak Hill, the headland that separates Pattaya Bay from Jomtien, is where you'll find Republic Pattaya — technically a clifftop pool club rather than a beach club, with the best elevated sunset view in the metro area.
The format is consistent across all four. There's no entry fee at any of them. Day beds and cabanas rent for somewhere between ฿800 and ฿4,500 depending on position and venue, and the rental fee is almost always redeemable against food and drink — meaning if you're going to eat and drink there anyway, the bed is effectively free. The music programming peaks at sunset (typically 5pm–8pm) with a live DJ playing Balearic house, deep house, or tropical house. After dark, most venues transition into restaurant-and-bar mode and close around midnight, with the exception of Cafe del Mar which sometimes pushes later on weekend nights.
Dress code is informal during the day — swimwear is the assumed default at the pool — but becomes smart-casual at the restaurant areas, particularly after 7pm. Cover-ups are expected at the bar. There is no minimum age policy at any of the four, though Cafe del Mar gets noticeably less child-friendly after the sunset DJ starts.
